Over the past few years, however, supplies have been getting lower, leaving many VR fans looking for PlayStation VR bundles as Sony gets rid of its old headset. During its life, it was still a pretty niche accessory, but new ones came out regularly and a dedicated fan base grew up around it. Over the last five years, PlayStation VR has kept its audience well. The new PS5-only headset promises a higher resolution, a new eye-tracking system, a wider field of view, and a new controller-headset tracking system to replace the old LED-PlayStation Camera method. It builds on the original PlayStation VR headset, which was released for the PS4 system.
